Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role begins October 27, 2025, and runs through May 21, 2026.

Position Overview:

• Location: Tulsa, OK

• Start Date: October 27, 2025

• End Date: May 21, 2026

• Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, availability needed between 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (varies by grade level)

• Modality: In-person

• Interview Type: Virtual or in-person

• Support: Classroom support provided

• Group Support Model: Yes

Responsibilities:

• Teach academic subjects using regular or adapted curriculum

• Provide services to students who are deaf and/or hard of hearing

• Collaborate with families and school staff to ensure required services are delivered

• Support students in their home school environments

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (preferred)

• Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate in Special Education and hearing impaired (or ability to obtain)

• Knowledge of ASL and amplification devices

• Experience with deaf and hard-of-hearing students (preferred)

• Understanding of IEPs, MEEGS process, and IDEA 2004

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace

• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)

• CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
