Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
Location: San Antonio, TX | Start Date: ASAP – May 23rd | Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | Interview Type: Virtual
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality speech and language services. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, assisting with clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment-related activities in alignment with the plan of care established by the SLP and/or physician.
Key Responsibilities
- 
Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in providing speech and language therapy services
 - 
Support clinical, educational, and treatment activities within assigned scope of practice
 - 
Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records
 - 
Collaborate with the SLP to implement individualized treatment plans
 - 
Work with students across all grade levels and a caseload of 35–50
 - 
Split time between direct therapy and support activities as directed
 
Minimum Requirements
- 
Graduate of an SLPA program with an associate’s degree OR bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders
 - 
Minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience (or equivalent) as required by state/contract
 - 
Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the state of practice
 - 
Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
 - 
One (1) year of prior SLPA experience preferred
 - 
TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
 - 
Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
 - 
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
 - 
Must be at least 18 years of age
