The Mammography Technologist performs a variety of technicalactivities associated with the performance of screening and diagnosticmammography procedures. The MammographyTechnologist uses specialized X-ray equipment to take images of the breasttissue and work with radiologists to interpret the results. The Mammography Technologist helps detectbreast cancers early to improve the chances of successful treatment andsurvival.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current State License or Certificate in state where theywill be working
- One (1) year of experience as a Mammography Technician preferred.
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Job Opening: Mammography Technologist – Elk Grove, CA (RadNet)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Start Date: ASAP
Location: RadNet – Elk Grove, CA
Compensation:
- Travel Pay: $3,300/week gross
- Local Pay: $65/hour
About the Role:
RadNet’s Elk Grove location is seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to support a high-volume outpatient facility. You will be the sole Mammo Tech on the floor, so strong clinical experience and independence are essential.
Responsibilities Include:
- Performing weekly QC procedures
- Conducting screening and diagnostic mammograms, including 3D scans
- Working with patients who have breast implants
- No biopsy procedures required
Requirements:
- ARRT (M) certification
- California Mammography License
- Experience in fast-paced outpatient settings
- Proficiency in screening, diagnostics, and quality control
?? Required Before Start:
- Completion of initial training program (certificate from school or attestation letter)
- Copy of Mammography and Radiology State Certificates
- Copy of ARRT Certificate with license number
- Proof of completion of initial 8 hours of digital mammography and 8 hours of tomosynthesis (tomo) mammography
- 15 CME units in breast imaging completed
