The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of theSpecial Education Program Administrator provides quality services to specialeducation students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has acommitment to team participation in planning and implementation of studentprograms including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultationwith general education staff.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited universitypreferred
Valid state teaching certificate as required by state,contract/district regulations
Minimum of one year experience in teaching environmentpreferred
State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard ElementaryTeaching preferred
State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard SecondaryTeaching preferred
State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teachingpreferred
Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
Current CPR if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age

$44 – $46 / hr

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking an Exceptional Children’s (EC) Teachers to join our team in Marion, NC for the remainder of the school year, additional information below:

Details:

Remainder of 2025 – 26 School Year (potential for extension)
ASAP start
Monday-Friday, 37.5 hrs/week
Elementary structured support classroom

Requirements:

Must have EC Teaching license from NCDPI

Resource/Inclusion requires EC General Curriculum license

Minimum 1 year of teaching experience required
Must be passionate about working with kids

General Comments

Public school system located in Marion, NC. Local or travel candidates welcome!

Elementary – Resource

There are 7 students in the classroom. Taught on general content standards with two support staff in the classroom.
The students are super sweet and range from 2nd-4th grade.
