Now Hiring: Moderate/Severe Special Education Teacher | K–2 | Pine Valley
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Pine Valley, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Contract Length: 35 weeks (2025–2026 School Year)
Hours: 35 hours/week
Setting: Moderate/Severe Classroom
Grade Level: Kindergarten – 2nd Grade
Position Overview:
Mountain Empire USD is seeking a dedicated Moderate/Severe Special Education Teacher to support a small K–2 classroom of 8–12 students. This is a great opportunity for educators who are open to a slightly longer commute and are looking to work in a close-knit, community-oriented district with a supportive, family-like team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction in a Mod/Severe setting
- Manage IEPs and provide case management
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals and related service providers
- Foster a structured and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- Valid California Moderate/Severe Special Education Credential
- Previous teaching experience preferred
- Resume submission required (RS packet)
Compensation:
- Local Pay Rate: $70/hour
- Travel Weekly Pay: $2,730
