Amergis Staffing is partnered with a highly respected facility in Lynn, MA looking for an RN at their Community Crisis Stabilization center. Details of the position are below.

Details:

Position: Registered Nurse
Location: Lynn, MA
Program: Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3p-11p
Start Date: Approximately two weeks from offer
Pay Rate: $60/hour

Assignment Length: 13 weeks (possibility of extension)

About the Program:

The CCS program is a 24-hour service designed to stabilize and support adults experiencing psychiatric distress. It serves as an alternative to hospitalization, offering short-term care in a structured and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in crisis intervention and engagement strategies, and able to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds and clinical presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

Candidates must have experience with psychiatric medications, de-escalation techniques, and the assessment/management of substance use. Given the high acuity of the unit, these are essential skills for the role.
  • Provide supports/interventions that focus on maintaining clients at program to address behavioral health needs.
  • Conduct medical monitoring protocols providing education and consultation to the clients, families and staff.  
  • Administer medications as prescribed by the practitioner; monitor clients for therapeutic and adverse effects consulting with medical team as needed
  • Accurately complete all medication administration documentation 
  • Obtain written or verbal physician orders from on-site or on-call practitioner 
  • Collaborate with prescribing practitioner and community physicians to support coordinated treatment planning and ensure continuity of medical care
  • Participate in daily psychiatric rounds, contributing to treatment plan development or revision, and ensure the implementation of physician orders

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Nursing or equivalent
  • 2- 4 years of experience with population 
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications and treatment approaches
  • Experience in high-turnover settings such as respite care is highly preferred
  • Bilingual candidates are a plus!
