Position Details:
- ?? Location: Burnsville, MN
- ?? Contract Duration: Through the end of the current school year
- ?? Schedule: Full-time, school hours
- ?? Type: Contract position
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with classroom activities and student supervision
- Support students with academic tasks and social development
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Collaborate with staff to ensure every student feels seen and supported
Required Qualifications:
- ? Previous experience working with individuals with cognitive deficits
- ? PCA (Personal Care Assistant) certification
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
- ? Paraeducator certification (can be completed in-office)
OR - ? 60+ credits of post-high school education
Bonus Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Patience, reliability, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with teachers and staff
- Must be able to pass a background check and meet school district requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have AA degree or a pass the ParoPro exam
