HIRING!! Licensed Addictions Counselors

 

Position Summary:
A Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) provides clinical support to individualsstruggling with substance use disorders and behavioral addictions. This roleinvolves assessment, treatment planning, counseling, and collaboration withother healthcare professionals to promote recovery and well-being.

 

Position Details:

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Hours/Shifts/Schedules:
    • Monday-Friday Full Time

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the nature and extent of clients’ addictions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support during acute episodes.
  • Educate clients and families about addiction, recovery strategies, and coping mechanisms.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case documentation.
  • Collaborate with social workers, psychiatrists, and other professionals to coordinate care.
  • Participate in staff meetings, peer reviews, and continuing education.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate degree in social work, psychology, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • Licensure: Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) certification.
  • Experience: Prior experience in mental health or chemical dependency treatment is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, empathy, active listening, and stress management skills.
