About the Role:

We are seeking apassionate and qualified Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) toprovide specialized instruction and support to students virtually. This remoteposition offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by deliveringindividualized educational services through virtual platforms, ensuring accessand equity for students with hearing impairments.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Collaborate with general education teachers, special education teams, and families to support student learning and inclusion

Utilize assistive technology and virtual tools to enhance communication and instruction

Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP development and progress monitoring

Offer consultation and training to school staff on hearing loss accommodations and communication strategies

Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines

MinimumQualifications:

Valid North Carolina teaching license with endorsement in Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, preferably in virtual or hybrid settings

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Comfortable using virtual platforms and assistive technology for instruction
