The Registered Nurse – Hospice is responsible for providing care, comfort and support to terminally ill patients.  The Registered Nurse – Hospice assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delivery of hospice patient care in various settings.  The Registered Nurse demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision.  The Registered Nurse will also demonstrate critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care.   Consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse license for the state in which the nurse practices.
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Minimum 1 year Hospice Experience Required

Bristol Hospice Oregon is located in Clackamas, Oregon. This office covers a 50 mile radius.

Healthwyse EMR (Previous experience not required, but someone who is tech savy to pick up a new platform quickly would do well)

Bristol will provide field staff with equipment for documentation, but staff will be required to use their personal smart phones to download a triage app for phone service (works on both apple and android phones)

Territories may fluctuate but the majority of the current cases are located on the Eastside – SE Portland/Gresham Area.

Staff will support clients both in-home and in facilities

30 visits per week

20 – 40 miles driven per day on average

 

Skills needed to be successful:

Active OR RN  or Ability to qualify for OR 90 Day Exception

Minimum 1 year Hospice

Must be comfortable using  Personal Vehicle (Mileage Reimbursed at $0.545/mile. See policy below)

Must have valid drivers license

Must have personal auto insurance

    • Days , 5 X 8s/ 30 visits per week

•         $2912Total Travel Package weekly

•         $1400 Weekly Taxable Wages +

•         $952Weekly Lodging Allowance +

•         $560 Weekly M&I Allowance = $2912 combined! WEEKLY!

•         *Based upon qualifying for position and allowances. The total package is inclusive of taxable wages and allowances.

 

Local candidates make up to $2400/week!
