Board Certified Behavior Analyst

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst – ES provides consultation, training, conducts behavioral evaluations and develops/implements behavior intervention plans for individuals with academic and behavioral deficits.  The Board Certified Behavior Analyst – ES acts as a clinical teacher who educates, observes, assesses, and supervises educational activities and behavioral service delivery in the school setting.

Minimum Requirements:  

  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
  • Master’s degree in applied behavior analysis, teaching, psychology or related field
  • Preferred experience providing behavior analytic programs and services in schools
  • One (1) year minimum pediatric experience preferred
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice 
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Essential Job Details:

 1x Behavior Consultant needed for Lane ESD – located in Eugene, OR. Position will likely need to be filled by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. 

Technical Skills Needed/Minimum Experience/Qualifications

Active OR License through TSPC and/or BACB. 

Ability to work in person for the duration of the assignment. Floating may be required. 

At least 3 years successful experience in a similar special education environment serving students with cognitive impairments and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder is required.

Demonstrated knowledge of both federal and state special education requirements as well as current best practices in the field are essential.

 Eugene, OR – may be required to float between Springfield, Eugene, Creswell and Cottage Grove. Floating requirement to be determined by the district and candidate during interview. 

Length of Contract:

 9 months – full school year

Schedule:

 Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week

Position Details (Age group, Caseload, Duties):

 Working with K-12 students within Lane County. 

Providing ASD/Behavioral support to the district and staff. POSITION PURPOSE:To assist teacher serving students with low incidence disabilities and social-emotional disabilities by providing behavioral support and instructional support in accordance with identified curricular guidelines and established Individual Education Plans.

Assist in student IEP creation and evaluations
