Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher to support a middle school behavioral classroom in Rio Rancho, New Mexico for the 2025–2026 school year. This in-person role begins October 15, 2025, and runs through May 29, 2026, offering $42–$47/hour, based on experience and licensure.

Position Overview:

Location: Rio Rancho, NM
Start Date: October 15, 2025
End Date: May 29, 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, ~7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Hours: 37.5/week
Modality: In-person
Pay Rate: $42–$47/hour

Classroom Details:

Middle school behavioral/social communication setting
Candidates must be comfortable managing challenging behaviors
Classroom support available (paras, behavior techs, nurses)
Responsibilities include teaching and case management
Caseload details provided during interview

Minimum Requirements:

Valid New Mexico teaching certificate with SPED endorsement
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)
One year of teaching experience (preferred)
CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
