Job Title: Telemetry Registered Nurse (Night Shift)
Location: Tuscaloosa, AL
Start Date: October 27, 2025
Contract Length: 16 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 36 hrs/week
Job Description:
The Telemetry RN is responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. This role involves clinical judgment, critical thinking, and coordination of care in a fast-paced telemetry unit. Nurses in this unit manage patients with renal conditions, including post-hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, and collaborate closely with nephrologists and hospitalists.
Essential Duties:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
 - Monitor telemetry readings and respond to changes in patient condition
 - Administer medications and manage IVs
 - Educate patients and families
 - Maintain accurate documentation
 - Float to other units and hospitals as needed
 - Work every other weekend and holidays as required
 
Minimum Requirements:
- Active RN license (Alabama or compact; no temp licenses)
 - Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (will consider 18 months with 1 year in specialty)
 - AHA or Red Cross BLS certification
 - Associate degree in nursing
 - Strong communication and computer proficiency
 - Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality
