Are you a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse with a passion for mental health care? We’re looking for experienced Psychiatric LPNs to provide high-quality support in detox and behavioral health settings. This is a per diem opportunity ideal for nurses seeking meaningful work with weekly pay and great benefits.

Position Details:

  • Pay: $31/hour
  • Schedule: Per diem (12–36 hours/week)
  • Shifts: 12-hour shifts (7 AM – 7 PM or 7 PM – 7 AM)
  • Location: Tampa, FL
  • Benefits: Weekly pay, Health, vision, and dental insurance, 401(k) plan

Position Summary

  • As an LPN, you will play a vital role in medical care and treatment of individuals coping with or recovering from substance abuse addiction and/or co-occurring mental health disorders. Must demonstrate the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in collaboration with a care team. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions
  • Conduct health assessments and document clinical observations
  • Support clients through withdrawal symptoms and psychiatric episodes
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff on treatment plans
  • Respond to medical and behavioral crises with professionalism and care
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA and facility protocols
  • Foster a respectful, recovery-oriented environment

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently active LPN license in Florida
  • 1 year experience in a behavioral health, detox, or psychiatric nursing setting required
  • Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
