Cath Lab Holding RN – Sacramento Hospital
The RN (Cath Lab or Cardiac Cath Lab) specializes in working with patients undergoing cardiac procedures in a catheterization lab. During cardiac catheterizations, these specially trained nurses assist the medical team by monitoring the patient’s vitals, assisting with procedural sedatives, assisting doctors, technicians, nurses and the patients.
Minimum Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a current state license where they will be working
- ACLS may be required by state/client contract
- Minimum of 2 years critical care or Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age

?? Pay: $3,412/week gross (Travel) | $63/hr (Local)
?? Schedule: Day- 4x10s (10:30-21:00)
Position Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced Cath Lab Holding RN to provide high-quality pre- and post-procedural care for cardiac patients. This role requires strong clinical judgment, cardiac monitoring skills, and the ability to respond to emergencies in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Active California RN License
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Experience:
- 2+ years in ICU/Telemetry
- Direct care of post-cardiac cath patients
- Epic charting system proficiency
- Previous charge experience preferred
Key Skills & Responsibilities:
- Pre/Post Cardiac Cath care, including sheath removal, TR Band, and TAVR recovery
- Cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Emergency response using Rapid Response/Code teams
- Management of cardiac drips (no titration)
- IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care
- Oxygen administration via nasal cannula
- Pacemaker management (temporary/permanent)
- Infection control and isolation precautions
- Patient education and interdisciplinary coordination
