Join a Supportive School Team as an ABA Paraprofessional or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Location: Metro West Area
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 32.5–35 hours/week
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: $25 – $30 /hour (based on experience and certifications)
Are you passionate about supporting students with autism and developmental needs in a school setting? We’re hiring experienced ABA Paraprofessionals and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to work in schools, either floating between classrooms or providing dedicated 1:1 support to students. This is a dynamic role where flexibility, compassion, and strong behavior support skills are key.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide individualized and small group support to students with ASD and other developmental or behavioral diagnoses
- Implement behavior intervention plans and collect data on student progress
- Use ABA strategies such as discrete trial training and reinforcement techniques
- Support students during transitions, recess, lunch, and bus duty
- Assist with toileting and hygiene needs when required
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and school teams to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Be flexible to shift assignments as student needs and IEP grids evolve
What We’re Looking For:
- At least one year of ABA experience (highly preferred)
- Experience working with students who exhibit behaviors such as aggression, eloping, flopping, or self-injury
- Familiarity with trauma-informed practices and de-escalation techniques
- Strong skills in data collection and behavior tracking (please share tools/programs used)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Calm, patient, and adaptable in fast-paced school environments
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum)
- Bachelor’s degree or RBT certification (preferred)
- CPR certification, TB test, and health clearance (as applicable)
- Must be at least 18 years old and meet all federal, state, and local requirements
