About the Role:

Amergis is seeking experienced Med/Surg LTACH RNs to provide high-quality care in a long-term acute care setting. This role involves managing complex patients with ventilators, central lines, chest tubes, and other advanced therapies. Nurses must be confident in handling a 6:1 patient ratio and working in a fast-paced, high-volume unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status
  • Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies accurately
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and discharge planning
  • Document care plans, interventions, and outcomes
  • Provide a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment for patients
  • Support professional practice in accordance with nursing standards, patient rights, and facility policies

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in the state of practice
  • Minimum 2 years of acute hospital bedside experience required
  • Experience with ventilator management, central lines, chest tubes, heparin drips, blood transfusions, TPN, and ACLS
  • ACLS certification required prior to start
  • Current BLS certification
  • Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Strong communication skills and computer proficiency
  • Must be 18+ years old

  • Shift Cancellation Policy: 36-hour guarantee per week
