Instructional Aide – Special Education Support | Experienced Candidates Encouraged to Apply

Are you an experienced classroom aide or paraprofessional looking for a role where your skills truly make a difference?

We’re hiring a Special Education Instructional Aide to join a dynamic team dedicated to supporting students with diverse learning, behavioral, and therapeutic needs. This is a high-impact role for professionals who thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide instructional support to students under the supervision of special education staff
  • Assist with behavioral interventions and emotional regulation strategies
  • Support students with mobility, personal care, and therapeutic needs as directed by licensed professionals
  • Help implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and social workers to ensure student success

Qualifications:

  • Required

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Current CPR certification (if applicable)
    • TB clearance: questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
    • Valid health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation)
    • Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
  • Preferred:

    • Prior experience in special education, behavioral support, or classroom assistance
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to remain calm and supportive in high-stress situations
    • Familiarity with IEPs and student support plans
