Are you passionate about creating inclusive learning environments where every student can thrive? As a Special Education Teacher, you’ll play a vital role in supporting K–12 students with diverse learning needs. Under the guidance of the Special Education Program Administrator, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality instruction, provide tutorial support, and consult with general education staff to ensure every student receives the tools they need to succeed.
This is more than a teaching role—it’s a chance to be a champion for students who benefit from extra support, structure, and encouragement.
?? What You’ll Be Doing:

Delivering specialized instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities

Participating in team-based planning and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs)

Providing tutorial assistance and collaborating with general education staff

Supporting students across academic, behavioral, and social-emotional domains
?? Minimum Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
-
Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract, or district regulations
-
Minimum of one year experience in a teaching environment (preferred)

State Teacher Certification:
-
Standard Elementary Teaching (preferred)
-
Standard Secondary Teaching (preferred)
-
Standard Special Teaching (preferred)
-
-
Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

Current CPR certification (if applicable)
-
TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
-
Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
