About the Role:

Amergis is seeking dedicated ICU Registered Nurses to join the night shift team at Lovelace Regional Hospital. This unit welcomes first-time travelers and offers a supportive environment for nurses ready to deliver high-acuity care. Candidates must be flexible to float to Med/Surg when ICU census is low.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Monitor vital signs, manage ventilators, administer medications, and maintain IVs and central lines
  • Respond to emergencies including CPR and other lifesaving interventions
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate care and discharge planning
  • Document care plans, interventions, and outcomes
  • Educate patients and families on treatment and recovery
  • Maintain compliance with facility protocols and HIPAA standards

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in the state of practice
  • Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Strong communication skills and computer proficiency
  • Must be 18+ years old
