About the Role:

Amergis is seeking experienced Critical Care RNs to join a dynamic team in Wichita, KS. This role involves providing expert care in high-acuity ICU settings, supporting patients through complex medical conditions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Monitor vital signs, manage ventilators, administer medications, and maintain IVs and central lines
  • Respond to emergencies including CPR and other lifesaving interventions
  • Document care plans, interventions, and outcomes
  • Educate patients and families on treatment and recovery
  • Maintain compliance with facility protocols and HIPAA standards

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in the state of practice
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
  • Current BLS and ACLS/PALS certifications (per facility)
  • Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Strong communication skills and computer proficiency
  • Must be 18+ years old

Additional Info:

  • Orientation: 16 hours (non-billable)
  • Shift Cancellation Policy: No formal policy; good faith efforts to reschedule
  • Unit Info: Cardiothoracic, Medical ICU, Neuro/Trauma, or Float – please specify preference
