Join Our Team as a Behavior Technician or Classroom Aide at Amergis Healthcare Staffing!

 

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students? Amergis Healthcare is looking for dedicated Behavior Technicians and Classroom Aides to join our team in the school setting. You’ll work 1:1 or in small groups within the classroom, collaborating with school professionals and other behavioral specialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow instructions from BCBA, teachers, and program supervisors
  • Implement behavior management techniques and provide crisis intervention
  • Review and implement behavior intervention plans
  • Assist in facilitating academic instruction and development plans (SLP, OT, PT)
  • Document sessions and collect behavioral and academic data
  • Support students in developing independent daily living skills
  • Assist students across various environments (classroom, playground, lunchroom, etc.)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred
  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
  • Completion of Amergis’ Competency program
  • Current CPR certification (if applicable)
  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
  • Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in English
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
