Position Summary

Seeking a passionate and qualified Special Education Teacher to support students with disabilities in grades K–12. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction in a resource room setting and through inclusive practices in general education classrooms. You’ll work closely with general education staff and rotating teaching assistants to ensure student success.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction in a resource room.
• Support inclusion of students with disabilities in general education settings.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and EC staff.
• Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and student records.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred).
• Active NC EC General Curriculum (K–12) license (required).
• Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred).
• State Teacher Certification in one or more of the following:
  • Standard Elementary Teaching
  • Standard Secondary Teaching
  • Standard Special Teaching
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) (preferred).
