Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking two Special Education Teachers to support middle and high school students in a specialized behavioral classroom setting at the Carlsbad Enrichment Center in Carlsbad, NM. These full-time, in-person roles begin October 13, 2025, and run through May 29, 2026, offering a competitive rate of $40–$42/hour.

Position Overview:

Location: Carlsbad Enrichment Center, Carlsbad, NM
Start Date: October 13, 2025
End Date: May 29, 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 37.5/week (approx. 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
Modality: In-person only
Interview: In-person preferred

Classroom Details:

Grade Levels: Middle and High School
Setting: Specialized behavioral classroom
Caseload: Details provided during interview
Classroom support provided

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction and behavioral support to students with IEPs
Collaborate with general education staff and participate in student program planning
Provide tutorial assistance and consult with support teams
Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines

Minimum Requirements:

Valid New Mexico PED teaching license (required)
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)
State Teacher Certification: Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching (preferred)
Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)
CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
