Special Education Teacher | $52/hr | Part-Time | 32-Week Contract | DuPont, WA

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support a growing caseload of students with IEPs in DuPont, WA. This part-time, in-person role begins October 27, 2025, and runs for 32 weeks, offering a competitive rate of $52/hour.

Position Overview:

• Location: DuPont, WA

• Start Date: October 27, 2025

• Duration: 32 weeks

• Schedule: Monday–Friday

• Hours: Up to 19/week

• Daily Time Block: 11:25 AM – 3:10 PM

• Modality: In-person

Classroom Details:

• Join a team of 4 special education teachers (3 resource room educators)

• Caseload: Approximately 15 students with IEPs

• Role created due to increased student need

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support for K–12 students

• Collaborate with general education staff and participate in student program planning

• Deliver tutorial assistance and consult with support teams

• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid Washington state teaching certificate

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

• State Teacher Certification: Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching (preferred)

• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

• Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)

• CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
