????? Position Description
We are currentlyseeking passionate individuals to join our team as Special Education Teachersserving students in grades K–12. Under the direction of the Special EducationProgram Administrator, this role supports the planning and implementation ofindividualized student programs, including specialized instruction, tutorialassistance, and collaboration with general education staff.
This opportunity isopen to candidates who may not yet hold a teaching license but demonstrate astrong commitment to student success and inclusive education. Training andsupport will be provided to help you grow into a licensed educator role.
?? Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering instructional services to students with special needs
- Support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
- Provide academic and behavioral support under supervision
- Maintain accurate records and comply with school policies
? Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
- Valid state teaching certificate (preferred but not required)
- Minimum of one year experience in a teaching or educational support environment (preferred)
- Preferred certifications:
- Standard Elementary Teaching
- Standard Secondary Teaching
- Standard Special Teaching
- Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) (preferred)
- Compliance with professional standards of practice
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
- Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
