Location: Naperville, IL
Modality: In-person
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM
Student Hours: 8:30 AM–2:30 PM
Hours per Week: 35
Assignment Duration: 2025–2026 School Year
Pay Rate: $55/hr

About the Role

We are hiring two Special Education Teachers (LBS1) to support high school students in a self-contained classroom setting. Teachers will deliver instruction across multiple subjects to students who have average intelligence but are significantly below grade level due to mental health challenges and/or past trauma. Each student participates in at least 30 therapy groups throughout the school year.

Responsibilities

Teach multiple subjects in a self-contained classroom
Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with the team
Provide academic and emotional support tailored to student needs
Collaborate with general education staff and support personnel
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
Valid Illinois teaching certificate (required)
LBS1 Endorsement (preferred)
Minimum 1 year of teaching experience (preferred)
CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate (if applicable)
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must meet all professional standards and regulatory requirements
