WESD is seeking a dedicated EarlyChildhood Special Education Teacher to join our team and make a lastingimpact in the lives of preschool-aged students. What You’ll Do:

  • ?? Deliver high-quality special education services to Pre-K students with developmental delays or disabilities.
  • ?? Design and implement individualized instruction tailored to each child’s unique needs.
  • ?? Collaborate with therapists, paraprofessionals, nurses, and families to support holistic development.
  • ?? Provide both group and 1:1 support in a classroom setting.
  • ?? Participate in early intervention efforts and contribute to multidisciplinary planning.
  • ??? Consult with general education staff to ensure inclusive and effective learning environments.

What We’re Looking For:

  • ?? Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred).
  • ?? Valid state teaching certificate in accordance with state and district regulations.
  • ?? Minimum 1 year of teaching experience (preferred).
  • ? Endorsements preferred:
    • Early Childhood Inclusive or Unified
    • Early Childhood Special Education
    • Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1)
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Additional requirements may include: CPR certification, TB screening, and current health certificate.

Classroom Details:

  • Grade Level: Early Childhood (Pre-K)
  • Modality: In-person
  • Caseload: To be determined
  • Support Staff: Paraprofessionals, Behavior Technicians, Nurses (as needed)
  • Testing Responsibilities: SPED Teacher-led assessments
