EC Teacher 25/26 School Year 

Start Date: August 25, 2025

Contract Duration: 2025–2026 School Year
Hours/Week: 37.5 hours (Full-Time, based on school bell schedule)
Modality: In-Person Only

Position Summary

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides high-quality services to students in grades K–12 with special needs. This role requires a collaborative mindset, a commitment to individualized instruction, and the ability to work closely with general education staff to support student success.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university 
  • Valid NC EC Teacher Licensure (required)
  • Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)
  • State Teacher Certification in one or more of the following:
    • Standard Elementary Teaching
    • Standard Secondary Teaching
    • Standard Special Teaching
  • Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) (preferred)
  • Current CPR certification (if applicable)
