Amergis Healthcare Staffing is looking for a Registered Dietitian (RD).
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our Inpatient Clinical Nutrition team. This role focuses on providing advanced medical nutrition therapy to adult patients, with a strong emphasis on Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (PEN) support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for clinical excellence and a commitment to improving patient outcomes in an acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized care plans for adult inpatients.
- Manage a daily caseload of approximately 10–12 patients, prioritizing those requiring advanced nutrition support.
- Provide expert guidance on tube feeding and parenteral nutrition regimens.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and pharmacists to optimize patient care.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR) in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with evidence-based practices in clinical nutrition.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited dietetic internship.
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required.
- Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) in the state of [Insert State], or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- 2–3 years of inpatient acute care experience required.
- Minimum 1 year of advanced nutrition care experience, including Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition support, highly preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with adult-only patient populations.
- Familiarity with nutrition support protocols and interdisciplinary care planning.
- Proficiency in EMR systems and clinical documentation.
