Amergis Educational Staffing is partnering with schools in the Swansea, MA area to hire Special Education Paraprofessionals who are passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs. This is a meaningful opportunity to work in a collaborative school environment and make a daily impact in students’ lives.

Position Overview:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, (32.5-35 hours per week depending on grade level)
• Location: Swansea, MA
• Duration: Full 2025–2026 School Year
• Pay Rate: Up to $25/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students in 1:1 and small group settings
• Assist with behavior support plans and academic activities
• Collect and record data on student behavior and progress
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to foster a positive learning environment
• Offer flexible support across classrooms as needed

Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced in working with students with behavioral or high-needs challenges
• Skilled in de-escalation and behavior tracking
• Familiar with data collection tools and progress monitoring
• Calm, patient, and adaptable in dynamic school settings

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Special Education or Behavioral Experience
• CPR certification (if applicable)
• TB test or chest x-ray (if applicable)
• Health certificate (as required)
• Must be at least 18 years old and meet all federal, state, and local requirements
