Special Education Teacher – $65/hr | Full-Time | Lansing, KS | 2025–2026 School Year

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support students in grades 2–12 across special education settings for the 2025–2026 school year. This in-person role begins October 6, 2025, and runs through May 2026, with campus placements determined through virtual interviews with school principals.

Position Details:

Location: Lansing, KS
Start Date: October 6, 2025
End Date: May 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (report times vary by grade level)
Hours: 37/week
Modality: In-person
Pay Rate: $65/hour
Grade Levels: 2nd–12th
Support Structure: Collaboration with BTs, Paras, and therapy staff

Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction and support for students with academic and behavioral needs
Collaborate with general education staff and behavioral teams
Help implement behavior intervention plans within special education classrooms
Participate in planning and documentation aligned with district and state guidelines

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)
Valid state teaching certificate (SPED required)
One year of teaching experience (preferred)
Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable
CPI and Amergiss CPT training (preferred)
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
