Special Education Teacher – $65/hr | Full-Time | Lansing, KS | 2025–2026 School Year

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support students in grades 2–12 across special education settings for the 2025–2026 school year. This in-person role begins October 6, 2025, and runs through May 2026, with campus placements determined through virtual interviews with school principals.

Position Details:

• Location: Lansing, KS

• Start Date: October 6, 2025

• End Date: May 2026

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (report times vary by grade level)

• Hours: 37/week

• Modality: In-person

• Pay Rate: $65/hour

• Grade Levels: 2nd–12th

• Support Structure: Collaboration with BTs, Paras, and therapy staff

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support for students with academic and behavioral needs

• Collaborate with general education staff and behavioral teams

• Help implement behavior intervention plans within special education classrooms

• Participate in planning and documentation aligned with district and state guidelines

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

• Valid state teaching certificate (SPED required)

• One year of teaching experience (preferred)

• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

• CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

• CPI and Amergiss CPT training (preferred)

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
