Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students across K–12 grade levels in La Mesa, CA for the 2025–2026 school year. This in-person role begins September 17, 2025, and runs for 9 months, with services delivered across multiple campuses based on student needs.

Position Details:

Location: La Mesa, CA (multi-campus travel required)
Start Date: September 17, 2025
Duration: 9 months
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 40/week
Modality: In-person
Interview Format: Virtual interview with District Vision Department
Pay Rate: $50/hour

Caseload Overview:

Approximately 6 direct (higher-need) and 10 indirect (consult-level) students
Caseload may fluctuate based on annual student needs
Travel between campuses required

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized instruction and support for visually impaired students
Develop and implement instructional programs that foster social, emotional, and academic growth
Collaborate with general education staff and support teams
Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines

Minimum Requirements:

Valid TVI certification
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)
One year of experience as a TVI (preferred)
CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
