Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) – $50/hr | Full-Time | Multi-Campus | La Mesa, CA | 2025–2026 School Year

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students across K–12 grade levels in La Mesa, CA for the 2025–2026 school year. This in-person role begins September 17, 2025, and runs for 9 months, with services delivered across multiple campuses based on student needs.

Position Details:

  • Location: La Mesa, CA (multi-campus travel required)

  • Start Date: September 17, 2025

  • Duration: 9 months

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday

  • Hours: 40/week

  • Modality: In-person

  • Interview Format: Virtual interview with District Vision Department

  • Pay Rate: $50/hour

Caseload Overview:

  • Approximately 6 direct (higher-need) and 10 indirect (consult-level) students

  • Caseload may fluctuate based on annual student needs

  • Travel between campuses required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction and support for visually impaired students

  • Develop and implement instructional programs that foster social, emotional, and academic growth

  • Collaborate with general education staff and support teams

  • Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid TVI certification

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

  • One year of experience as a TVI (preferred)

  • CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
