Amergis Staffing iscurrently seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) for Interventional Radiology (IR) assignmentsin New Orleans, LA!
Position Details:
Contract Length: 13 weeks (+ ability toextend)
Number of Openings: 1
Start Date: 10/13
Hours/Shifts/Schedules: 36 (3×12’s) / Days(6a-6:30p) / Every other weekend
On-Call: required
Setting:
- Will work alongside IR attendings, IR Fellows, and Radiology Residents (Resident in house 24/7)
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN IR experience
- Telemetry, Conscious sedation and circulator experience
- Preferred: Level I trauma, infant/peds, scrub, Neuro IR, and/or ICU/ED/Tele Stepdown experience
- LA RN or Compact RN license
- BLS and ACLS (AHA)
- Preferred: PALS, NIHSS, CPI

AnInterventional Radiology Nurse is a specialized RN who assists the physicianwith medical imaging such as MRIs, ultrasounds or X-rays. The RN -Interventional Radiology is responsible for patient care during the entireprocess, including the initial assessment, the plan of care, administeringmedication, checking for lab results, and reviewing the patient’s medicalhistory.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.
- One year experience in Interventional Radiology preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
