Compensation: $58,000 – $64,000

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher for an elementary school placement in the Kansas City area. This is a rewarding opportunity to help students build foundational skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.

?? Position Overview:

As an Elementary School Special Education Teacher, you’ll provide individualized instruction and coordinate services for students with disabilities, helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally during their early school years.

? Qualifications:

Missouri Certification in one or more of the following:
- Mild-Moderate Disabilities (LD, BD/ED, MR, OHI)
- Hearing Impaired
- Visually Impaired
- Severe Developmental Disabilities
Alternative certifications may be considered.

?? Reporting Structure:

Direct supervision by the School Site Principal
Collaborative support from the Director of Pupil Services

?? Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement IEPs as a case manager
Provide specialized instruction in inclusive and separate settings
Collaborate with general education staff and families
Maintain compliance documentation per DESE guidelines
Participate in evaluations and instructional planning
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians
Use technology to enhance instruction and manage records
Uphold district policies and safety practices
