Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – $55/hr | Full-Time | FMLA Coverage | Shawnee Mission, KS | Feb–May 2026

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time, short-term assignment in Shawnee Mission, KS, covering an FMLA leave from February through May 2026. This school-based role offers a collaborative environment and group support within special education settings.

Position Overview:

• Location: Shawnee Mission, KS

• Modality: In-person

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (37 hours/week)

• Start Date: February 2, 2026

• End Date: May 2026

• Duration: FMLA coverage

• Pay Rate: $55/hour

• Interview Format: Virtual

• Campus Placement: Determined during interview with school principals

• Support Model: Group-based collaboration with BTs, SLPs, and behavioral staff

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and screenings for students referred for speech/language concerns

• Implement behavior plans in coordination with therapy and behavioral teams

• Provide therapy services and document progress according to individualized plans

• Collaborate with school staff to support student communication goals

Requirements:

• Active Missouri SLP license

• CCC-SLP certification preferred

• CPR certification, TB screening, and health clearance as applicable

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
