MRI Tech

The MRI Technologist uses magnetic resonance imagingscanners and related equipment to capture specific images ordered by aphysician to aid in patient diagnosis.

Minimum Requirements:

Pay: $70/hr. for local, can do $72/hr.
Shift: Evening shift, 1:30pm – 11pm
Schedule: Week A 1:30pm-11pm Tuesday-Friday Week B 1:30pm-11pm Monday-Thursday
Location: St. Lukes is a larger hospital in the state of WI located within Milwaukee County. Level II trauma
Setting: At Aurora St. Luke’s, we offer a dynamic and cutting-edge MRI environment with five scanners—a blend of GE and Siemens—and an extensive range of advanced imaging procedures, including cardiac, functional, neuro, body, musculoskeletal, and specialty exams.
Experience: 1+ year as an MRI tech, BLS, ARRT-MR or ARMRIT

 About Facility:

•       Milwaukee, WI

•       Level II Trauma Center

•       Level III NICU

•       Magnet Designation

•       Primary Stroke Center

•       Beds: 933

•       Covid vaccine required

•       General Information

•       Beds: 6 scanners (currently operating 5 scanners)

•       Experience: 3-5 years in MRI

•       First-time traveler: Yes

•       Weekly census – 250-300 patients

Patient Types:

•       Outpatient, Inpatient, ED: patients with Implantable Devices, Neuro, Oncology, Musculoskeletal, Ventilated, Sedated, Whole body, Cardiac experience required

•       Patient Ratios: 1:1

Required Certifications:

•       BLS

•       ARRT-MR or ARMRIT

•       Skills required

•       Experience with the above patient types

•       GE and Siemens experience required 

Support on the Unit:

•       Lead Tech/Coordinator

•       Imaging Assistants

•       Traveler will never be alone

Charting System/Equipment:

•       EPIC – required

•       GE Discovery 750W – required

•       Siemens Aera – required

•       Siemens Magentom Skyra – required

•       McKesson PACS – required
