Amergis Staffing iscurrently seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) for Cardiovascular Intensive Care (CVICU)assignments in Baltimore, MD!

 

Position Details:

Contract Length: 13 weeks (+ ability toextend)

Number of Openings: 1

Start Date: 10/27

Hours/Shifts/Schedules: 36 (3×12’s) /Day/Night rotation / Every other weekend 

 

Setting:

  • Large teaching hospital
  • Level I trauma center
  • Zayed 5e (CVSICU) unit

 

Position Requirements:

  • Trained and worked in a dedicated Open-Heart Unit receiving patients directly from the OR
  • Current experience with recovery of post-op cardiac surgery patients in an ICU setting, Vent, CRRT, Swan, Epicardial wires/pacemakers, vasoactive gtts titration, level 1 IABP, ECMO
  • MD RN or Compact RN license
  • BLS and ACLS (AHA), CCRN, TNCC (preferred)

     

    TheCoronary Care Registered Nurse is a professional nurse who coordinates thedelivery of nursing care for critically ill, post-operative, ventilator, postcardiac arrest, post heart cath, hemodynamic stabilization and other criticallyill patients in the units.  The Registered Nurse responds to codes andemergent situations as a team member within the hospital.  The RegisteredNurse participates in patient and family teaching, and provides leadership byworking cooperatively with ancillary and other patient team personnel inmaintaining standards of professional nursing practice in the intensivecare/coronary care setting.

     

    Minimum Requirements:

    • RN License in state which the nurse will be practicing
    • Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge and skills
    • 2 years of cardiac care experience preferred
    • ACLS may be required per state/client contract
    • Current CPR if applicable
    • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
    • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
    • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
    • Must be at least 18 years of age
