Job Summary:

The Labor and Delivery RN Manager oversees theoperations of the labor and delivery unit, ensuring high-quality patient care,staff coordination, and compliance with hospital policies. This role combinesclinical expertise with leadership responsibilities to support mothers andnewborns during childbirth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Staff Management
    • Supervise and support labor and delivery nursing staff.
    • Manage scheduling to ensure 24/7 coverage.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and staff development.
    • Resolve staff and patient concerns professionally.
  • Clinical Oversight
    • Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.
    • Monitor patient care quality and outcomes.
    • Assist in complex or emergency situations as needed.
  • Operational Duties
    • Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other departments.
    • Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
    • Oversee inventory and equipment needs for the unit.
    • Participate in policy development and implementation.
  • Education & Support
    • Provide guidance and training to staff on best practices.
    • Promote patient education and emotional support initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
    • Master’s degree or advanced practice certification preferred.
  • Licensure & Certifications:
    • Active RN license.
    • Certifications such as RNC-OB, ACLS, NRP required.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3–5 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
    • Prior leadership or management experience in a clinical setting.
SHIFT: 4 x 10s; 1800-0430
TRAVEL PAY:  $4425/WEEK
Start Date: 9/29 or ASAP
Required: NRP, AWHONN-Adv, 3 years of L/D experience, 2 years supervisor exp.
