Certified Medical Assistant – Contract Opportunity

  • Location: Wareham, MA
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: 13 weeks (with potential for extension)
  • Shift: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/wk.
  • Pay Rate: Up to $21/hr (based on experience)


About the Role:


Amergis Staffing is partnered with a highly respected healthcare facility in Wareham, MA, seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join their team on a contractual basis. This role is essential in supporting providers and managing both clinical and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures
  • Perform phlebotomy and administer injections (training provided if needed)
  • Manage patient interactions with professionalism and compassion
  • Support billing, prior authorizations, and payment reconciliations
  • Utilize EMR systems and Microsoft Office tools effectively

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Medical Assistant Certification required
  • Min. 1 year of experience as an MA in a fast-paced medical office
  • 1 year of phlebotomy experience required
  • Prior experience administering injections preferred (training available)
  • Knowledge of billing processes and prior authorizations
  • Experience in customer service, behavioral health, or healthcare settings 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and EMR systems
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
