The RN (Cath Lab or Cardiac Cath Lab) specializes in workingwith patients undergoing cardiac procedures in a catheterization lab. During cardiac catheterizations, thesespecially trained nurses assist the medical team by monitoring the patient’svitals, assisting with procedural sedatives, assisting doctors, technicians,nurses and the patients.
Minimum Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a current state license where theywill be working
- ACLS may be required by state/client contract
- Minimum of 2 years critical care or Cardiac Cath Labexperience preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
General Comments:
Applicants MUST have a valid California state Fluoro license.(CV Rad TECH)
The nurses do not need a fluoro license (only the Rad Techs).
Day Shift/We are on 4×10’s and the call burden is 15 days a month. The nurses do not need a Fluoro license (only the Rad Techs).

Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
- Acute care facility experience: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
Department Specific License/Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or HealthStream Advanced Cardiac Life Support (HS-ACLS) or RQIACLS: Required
Essential Functions:
- Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient?s health or situation. Analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation.
- Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team.
- Participates in discharge planning in order to provide continuity of care.
- Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
