The School Registered Nurse oversees the application of thenursing process and the delivery of student care in a school setting. TheSchool RN supports the physical, mental and emotional well-being of studentswithin the school setting. The School RN plays an essential role in promotingthe health and safety, responding to medical emergencies, managing chronicconditions and serving as a liaison between families, school staff andhealthcare providers. The School RN provides services in accordance with Amergis’philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.

Minimum Requirements:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state ofemployment
Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
School Nurse Certification as required by state or contract
One year of school nursing, public health or pediatricexperience, preferred
Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
Current CPR if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age

Modality:	School RN Health Office
Grade Level:	High School 9th-12th grade Less than 600 students
Caseload Details:	Would run health office for entire school Would be supported by CSN for 2 days a week to cover IEPs (CSN is with Amergis as well) Would have their own office and space 1 school building

Start/End Date:	August 2025
Start/End time:	8am-3:30pm
Breaks paid/unpaid:	Unpaid 30 min break
