Special Education Teacher (LBS1) – Naperville, IL
Rate: $51/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM (30-minute unpaid break)
Duration: 36 weeks (ASAP start through end of school year)
Modality: In-person
Caseload: Elementary, self-contained classroom

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher (LBS1) to join our team in Naperville, IL. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the teacher will provide high-quality services to elementary students in a self-contained setting. This role emphasizes collaboration with general education staff and active participation in planning and implementing individualized student programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families.
  • Develop and implement IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
  • Valid Illinois teaching certificate (LBS1 endorsement preferred)
  • Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred)
  • Certifications: Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching (preferred)
  • Compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Current CPR certification (if applicable)
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
  • Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
