Requirements:

*Must have experience working with behavioral childrenk-12, students on the spectrum and/or intellectual disabilities.

*Comfortable being in a classroom environment where you might need to deescalate situations and help regulate children’s behavioral needs.

*Comfortable with prompting and have flexibility with where you will be placed every day. Student’s needs come first so there is always a potential of floating around the classroom or within the school itself.

The School Aide is an individual who works with studentsrequiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision ofthe special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee.  The School Aide may also provide supportservices to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeuticcare needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, socialworker or other health care professional.
