Library/Media/Tech Teacher – Phoenix, AZ

Position Details:

  • Duration: 10 months
  • Pay Rate: $32/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Library/Media/Tech Teacher to join our team at Gateway School. This role combines technology and media instruction with library management to support K–8 students in developing essential digital literacy and research skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons focused on technology and media for K–8 students (approximately 80% of the role).
  • Manage library operations and resources (approximately 20% of the role).
  • Implement daily instructional plans effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Foster a classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with administrators and fellow educators to support student success.
  • Maintain proper classroom management and ensure student safety and well-being.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher (required).
  • Valid state teaching license/certification (as applicable by state or district).
  • One year of teaching experience (preferred).
  • Ability to read and implement instructional plans, communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration.
  • Basic mathematical competency.
  • Compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Current CPR certification (if applicable).
  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable).
  • Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
