Contract Length: 2025–2026 School Year

Position Summary:

The Physical Therapistis responsible for performing student evaluations, as well as providing anddocumenting therapy services in accordance with plan of care developed for eachstudent and per physician’s orders when applicable.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students to assess physical development, motor skills, and functional mobility needs within the educational environment.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators, parents, and other specialists to support students’ access to and participation in school activities.
  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 Plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and communications in compliance with school district and state regulations.
  • Consult with school staff and families to provide training, strategies, and support for integrating therapeutic activities into the classroom and home settings.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
  • One (1) year of prior professional Physical Therapy experience preferred
