Position Details:

- Duration: Full 2025–2026 School Year
- Pay Rate: Up to $55/hour
- Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:25 AM – 2:25 PM
We are seeking a compassionate andskilled Special Education Teacher to lead a self-contained classroom supportingstudents with moderate to significant learning needs. The teacher willprimarily deliver instruction in math and science, along with a support class,while fostering a structured, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction in math and science, aligned with IEP goals and state curriculum standards
- Facilitate a support class focused on academic reinforcement, skill development, and individualized learning strategies
- Serve as case manager for approximately 10 students, overseeing IEP creation, implementation, and progress tracking
- Maintain a classroom of up to 5 students, ensuring personalized attention and differentiated instruction
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals to support academic engagement, behavior management, and daily routines
- Communicate consistently with families, service providers, and school staff to ensure cohesive and effective support
- Implement evidence-based strategies and accommodations to meet diverse learning profiles
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state regulations

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
- Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
- Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred
- Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
