The Behavior Technician works to facilitate educational andbehavioral services with children and adults with special needs andcollaborates with school professionals and other behavioral specialists toachieve learning and behavioral goals and objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age

Day to Day Duties: |
Special education classroom. Working with students of behavioral type issues. intensive classrooms where students have very aggressive behaviors. Supports reading/math instruction. Assists in the organization and administration of initial and quarterly assessments. Collaborates with classroom teachers to identify learning goals for individual students. Helps to create and manage a responsive learning environment that enables students to feel safe, to be creative, and to develop to their full potential. Works in teams with other TAs and classroom teachers to plan, problem solve and support one another on a daily basis. |
